Save the Date! AIWG-Congress 2026

From 11th to 13th of June, 2026, the second AIWG Congress will take place under the title: „Texts and Contexts: Islamic Theology between Past, Present and Future“ in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Researchers in Islamic Theological Studies and Islamic Religious Education, as well as colleagues from neighboring disciplines, both in Germany and abroad, are invited to this platform to discuss current developments, historical perspectives and innovative approaches towards a wide range of research questions and applications in society-related contexts.

Further information and a call for papers will be published on our website later this year. You will have the opportunity to submit proposals for panels, individual presentations, workshops, or roundtables.

The conference is organized in cooperation with the German Association for Islamic Theological Studies (DEGITS).
