Exploring Future Perspectives: „Muslim Futures“
From April 28 to April 30, 2025, the interdisciplinary workshop „Muslim Futures“ will take place at Sigmund Freud Private University, Vienna, organized by Forschungsstelle IFIME | Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität as part of the AIWG-ITS Colloquium format.
The workshop is organized by Dr. Amani Abuzahra and will feature leading scholars in futures studies, Ziauddin Sardar and Dr. Shamim Miah. It aims to explore future perspectives within Islamic thought and practice through interdisciplinary exchange, academic discussions, and innovative methodologies.
The event will provide a think tank setting where scholars, researchers, and cultural practitioners engage with key concepts of Islamic futures studies. The goal is to expand the horizons of research by integrating diverse perspectives and expertise.
The workshop is open to researchers, scholars, students, and professionals in Islamic Theology, Islamic Studies, Social Sciences, Humanities, Cultural Studies, and the Arts, as well as activists and practitioners working in related fields.
